PRACTICAL PRICING GUIDE

Revenue is not profit

A $300 booking is not $300 in earnings. Subtract labor, chemicals, fuel, processing fees, and overhead before deciding whether the job works.

Margin is profit divided by revenue. Markup is profit divided by cost. They are not the same, so this tool prices from a target margin.

Use realistic time. Include travel, setup, pack-down, messages, and rework when they are part of delivering the service.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you send the quote.

What is a good detailing profit margin?+

There is no single safe target. Your service mix, market, capacity, and owner pay all affect it.

Is owner labor a cost?+

Yes. Treat your working time as a cost so profit is not confused with unpaid labor.

Why is card processing included?+

A percentage fee rises with the quote, so the calculator solves for it rather than treating it as a fixed dollar cost.
